It was the Lord our God himself who… protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.
“He replied, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked faithfully, will send his angel with you and make your journey a success.’
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free.
By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
